- 3 cups pomegranate juice
- 1 large orange halved
- 10 cloves
- 6 star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
Combine the juice, halved orange, and spices in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to maintain a simmer.
Simmer, partially covered, for 30 minutes. Strain the mixture into two mugs, discarding the orange and spices. Serve hot.
- If you don't have a strainer, tie the spices together in a piece of cheesecloth for easy removal.
- Leftover mulled juice can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 1 week. Strain the juice before storing.
