41½-to-2-inch (4-to-5-cm) thicksirloin or tenderloin steaks (about 6 oz | 170 g each)
4teaspoonsHomemade or store-bought steak seasoning
Instructions
Preheat the grill for medium-high heat (425 to 450°F | 218 to 232°C).
Wrap one strip of bacon around the side of each steak, securing the two ends together with a toothpick. Season both sides of the steak generously with steak seasoning.
Cook the steaks on the preheated grill, flipping once, until they reach the desired doneness, about 6 minutes per side for medium rare (130°F | 54°C).
Notes
Crisp it up--If your bacon isn't as crispy as you like after cooking, use a pair of long-handled tongs to hold the sides of the meat wrapped in bacon directly against the heat for about 30 seconds.
Avoid flare-ups--To prevent the bacon from flaring, try to place the steaks between the burners so that they aren't directly over the flame.
Dietary--This recipe is suitable for gluten-free and dairy-free diets.
