    Why You'll Love This Recipe

    • It's a make-ahead dessert that's perfect for camping, picnics, potlucks, and more.
    • It can be prepared in just 15 minutes.
    • You can scale the recipe to make as many as you need.

    Ingredients and Substitutions

Ingredients for s'mores in a jar--chocolate chips, marshmallow fluff, graham crackers, and chocolate pudding.
    • Chocolate pudding--Use your favorite homemade or store-bought chocolate pudding. If you're preparing instant chocolate pudding, one box will make more than enough for four jars.
    • Marshmallow fluff--This is a very sticky meringue-like spread and is sometimes labeled as marshmallow creme. It's available in most large supermarkets (often located near the sundae toppings) or you can purchase marshmallow fluff online.

    How to Make S'mores Cups

A bag of graham cracker crumbs with a rolling pin resting on top.

    1. Crush all but two of the graham crackers in a resealable plastic bag.

Four partially assembled s'more jars with a bowl of pudding and chocolate chips on the side.

    2. Layer the graham cracker crumbs, marshmallow fluff, pudding, and chocolate chips in individual jars.

    FAQs

How long will these s'more cups keep?

For the best texture, I recommend enjoying these within 24 hours. After that the graham cracker crumbs will become soft, however, you can eat them up to 3 days after making them. Keep them refrigerated until you're ready to serve.

    How should I serve these?

You can serve them just as they are, with a spoon, or extra graham crackers for dipping, or you can fancy them up with a dollop of whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, or even a toasted marshmallow on top.

    Tips and Troubleshooting

    • Don't stress too much about the layers being perfectly even. When you eat it, everything will meld together into the perfect s'mores bite!
    • Marshmallow fluff is incredibly sticky. Once you add it to your jar, don't try to spread it as it will just create a sticky mess. To get an even layer of marshmallow fluff, let it sit for about 15 minutes after adding the fluff to the jar before topping with the pudding. The marshmallow fluff will spread out on its own to create an even layer.
    • To make graham cracker "dippers" for your jars, reserve 2 crackers before crushing the remaining ones. Break the reserved crackers in half and serve one half with each jar.

    • 1 ⅓ cup chocolate pudding
