Scoop the avocado flesh into a medium bowl and use a fork or masher to mash until smooth.
Squeeze in the lime juice and add ¼ teaspoon salt. Mix well. Taste and add more salt, if needed. Serve immediately.
Notes
Keep it green--Make or uncover the guacamole just before serving so that it doesn't brown too quickly. If the surface of the dip has begun to brown, scrape off the top layer and mix well to get it back to its vibrant green shade.
